Ebert on Hugh Hefner

Just to pass along: Roger Ebert wrote a piece last weekend on the good Hef and Playboy have done us. Bonus: at the bottom are a couple of great clips from 1966, when Hefner appeared on William F. Buckley’s Firing Line to talk sexual ethics. I reposted the first clip below.

  1. That clip is pretty priceless. Especially Buckley’s obvious discomfort uttering the line “Mr. Hefner’s magazine is most widely known for its total exposure of the human female.”

    And I didn’t think it was possible, but Hugh Hefner looks creepier in 1966 than he does today.
